New Interview on Education Talk Radio

Here’s an interview I did today with Larry Jacobs of Education Talk Radio. He’s a lively interviewer  and it is pretty amazing to hear how we got from teaching, to big macs, Vermont traffic, and back again to teaching.

We discussed my book Why Great Teachers Quit and How We Might Stop the Exodus, published by Corwin Press, and obviously, other things as well!

New Article in Hip Mama Magazine

Hip Mama magazine this month is all about education.  It’s packed with great stories from parents and teachers about the world of public education– ranging from such diverse topics as discrimination against a little boy in ballet class, to living and schooling in Costa Rica, and homophobia in middle school. I’ve got an essay in this issue as well, called Mass Exodus:  America’s Teachers on the Run.

You can find it here.
